 The Absolute Eco Cage Filter Pump SPM-A10000E is great as a low maintenance pump for the small to medium pond, for recirculation, waterfall, or low flowing creek.

The SPM-A10000E Pump is a single chip computer-controlled pond and aquarium pump. Using German Technology, its round design casing comes with an adjustable outlet making it durable and long lasting. Being an energy saving environmentally friendly pump, it’s highly efficient to run, saving valuable dollars off your electricity bills.

With large flow and low noise, this pump is great to use in both ponds and aquariums. Comes with a durable ceramic shaft and 10M UV resistant cable. Outlet is tiered to allow for different size tubes.

The clever cage design not only keeps your fish and other aquatic lives from coming in contact with the pump, but also can help protect the pump from damage or debris that could clog the pump or cause it to stop working. This enables the pump to last longer than a conventional uncaged submersible pump.

Recommendations:

• Always operate the pump fully submerged. Failure to do so may overheat the pump and cause it to fail, voiding the warranty. DO NOT OPERATE DRY.
• Do not use tools to install the fittings to the pump discharge. Fittings need to be only hand-tight.
• To maximize pond circulation, locate the pump as far away as possible from the location of the water entering back into the water feature.
• The pump cage is designed to protect the pump from large pond debris that could clog or damage the interior of the pump. The pump cage will clog over time and should be cleaned regularly to ensure strong water flow. Failure to maintain the unit will result in a burnt out motor and other damages to the filter unit.
• Frequency of the pump cage maintenance depends on the volume of water and number of fishes / turtles in the pond. Filter cage should ideally be cleaned using a bucket of pond water.
