What does a UVC achieve for a pond?
It will guarantee clear water winter & summer provided it is maintained & within specification for the pond's climatic & fish loading stress. It will not filter or biologically treat the pond water. The resulting clear water will allow any biological filter to work more efficiently as it will not choke with green suspended algae.
How does a UVC work?
The pond pump pushes water past the lamp's ultra violet rays within the UVC barrel. The water has a specified dwell time exposed to this UV radiation. This bleaches any green suspended algae spores, settling them to the pond floor. It ensures fresh, clean and clear water, disinfects water efficiently and safely and protects swimming pools & ponds from germs.
