Hozelock Select Controller timer 2220 is a simple to use battery-powered automatic water timer that will make automatic watering a breeze. Select your desired watering schedule using the dial or choose the manual watering function to water up to 60 minutes before automatically shutting off.

The Hozelock Select Controller is an automatic water timer for use with automatic watering systems and garden sprinklers.

Watering tips for sustainable gardening this summer:

• Mind when you water: Water your plants early in the morning or late in the evening to reduce loss of precious water by evaporation. Use automated tap timers to help you with the watering schedule.
• Mind how much you water: Water thoroughly but less frequently (2 to 3 times a week instead of daily). Also, allow slight drying out in between watering cycle to help promote root growth. Use Watering Cones for more water thirsty plants.
• Mind where you water: Water as close as possible to the roots ensuring the leaves are left dry, as wet leaves in hot sun can cause serious damage to the plant. Where possible use irrigation systems or appropriate hose end connectors (Lances or Spray guns) for targeted watering. 
• Mind what you use to water: Choose hose length correctly – slightly longer than that needed to reach the farthest end of your garden. The weight of the hose will increase based on its length and diameter. If weight is a concern, then consider using a hose reel or hose cart . Use good quality hose end sprayer with flow control to save water.
