What are the most common reasons that cause a Pressure Sprayer to lose pressure?

  • Blocked or worn nozzle: This is the most common cause of low or no pressure when using a pressure sprayer washer. Blocked nozzle will prevent water from escaping, while a worn nozzle will allow too much water to pass through, causing the pressure to drop. It is important to replace the nozzles regularly.
  • Damaged seals (O-ring): Regular wear and tear over time will cause seals to become worn or damaged and permit air to get into the unit. This will result in leaks and reduce the pressure of the sprayer.
  • Leaking hose or tank: Undoubtedly a leak in either the hose or the tank will prevent the unit to reach the maximum pressure.
  • Trapped air: Air trapped in the lance can cause the incorrect or non-uniform dispensation of the liquid. This will cause the liquid to dribble from the nozzle after the trigger has been released. To remove any air, hold the lance in a vertical position pointing away from you, toggle the trigger on and off until the air is discharged, then continue spraying.
